Frequently Asked Questions

We have compiled this list of frequently asked questions with the help of many of our valued past guests. It is our goal to provide you with as much information about our resort and the local area to assist you in preparation of, and during your stay. This list of FAQ’s is constantly being updated with answers to questions most commonly asked by our guests.

Yes we are now open for all travel. Please keep in mind social distancing measures will remain in place. This update is subject to any Government changes to COVID-19 restrictions. We appreciate your understanding.

Please contact Turtle Beach Reach Resort directly to confirm which facilities are currently open due to travel restrictions.

All reservations held at Turtle Beach for travel up until the 30th of June are being offered a date change subject to rates and availability, alternatively we can offer them a full refund.




Bookings currently held for travel from the 1st of July 2020 are subject to the terms and conditions at the time of booking, until further announcements are made on travel restrictions.

Turtle Beach Resort was built as a 3 story-walk up complex and does not have any lifts located in any area of the building.  It is a 4 story climb from the underground car park to the 3rd level.

We do not recommend our Resort as a disabled/accessible Resort due to the number of stairs throughout the complex and limited accessibility to all facilities.
Pool/beach towels are not provided in the apartments; however we offer a pool towel hire service at Guest Services for $5 per towel for the duration of your stay, which can be laundered in your apartment.
We recommend this as a perfect way to start your holiday so feel free to order your groceries on line prior to your arrival.  As we are unable to accept or store your grocery items, please ensure your delivery time coincides with a time that you will be onsite to accept your groceries so that the delivery driver is able to contact you promptly on arrival

Yes hairdryers are provided in all the apartments.

Our pools are gas heated to 26 degree in the cooler months and solar heated to 26 degree in the summer months.  Splash Zone is not heated.

The Splash Zone is for children only and some of the slides have a safety height restriction of 145cm and are not recommended for children taller than this. Children taller than 145cm use at their own risk.  Restrictions apply for the safety of all guests.  Please follow the directions of the attendants as the safety of guests is our priority.

The resort is a three story walk up complex with no way of maneuvering a wheel chair to the 1st & 2ndfloors. Even some of our ground floor apartments and walk ways can have small steps to negotiate.  The Deck Cafe can only be accessed via stairs and many of the paths through out the Resort have a width less than 813cm.

A convenient starter pack is provided on arrival in your apartment to get you through the first day or so with a few essential items, these include:

Toilet paper / kitchen tidy bag / laundry powder / dish liquid / coffee / tea /sugar milk / soap & tissues.  These items are not replenished and may be purchased from fresh & tasty for your convenience.

0-2 Years inclusive FOC when using existing bedding. Cot hire available – charges do apply.
3 Years + adult rates apply.
We have cots/strollers/highchairs available for hire for $9 each per day and bed rails available for $5 per day.  These should be preordered prior to arrival to avoid disappointment.

All linen is provided in your apartment and can be laundered at your convenience in your fully self-contained apartment.

Turtle Beach Resort accepts Visa and Mastercard as our preferred method of payment. Alternatively a money order / Bank cheque can be arranged ensuring ample time to arrive in the post.  We do not currently support bank deposits as a form of payment.

A telephone is located on the wall in the reception area that is accessible  for our late arriving guests with our night security on site to assist you with instructions on accessing your apartment keys.

At check in a valid credit card and photo identification is required. A Cash Bond will be required if you cannot provide a valid credit card. Please note debit cards will not be accepted for security holds.  A $200 pre auth security bond will be taken on arrival.

We recommend Star Rent a Car for all your car hire needs. You can contact them on 1800 821 575, let them know you are staying at Turtle Beach Resort and they will be happy to assist you. Feel free to contact us for further information or specials.

Complimentary underground security car parking is available – subject to availability.

The height restriction on the car park is 2.1 metres.  Limited oversized vehicle parking is located at TB2 in front of Fresh and Tasty (first in basis).  Additional on street parking can be found within walking distance to the Resort.

The closest supermarket would be Coles at Pacific Fair Shopping Centre which is approximately 2 km from the resort.

Yes we most certainly do allow all forms of Assistance and Therapy dogs to stay onsite with their carers.  All dogs must wear the appropriate collars and or jackets at all times whilst on the property and meet the hygiene and behaviour standards  appropriate for animals in public places.  Registration paperwork is preferred but not essential.

We recommend Gold Coast Babysitters or Coastal Babysitters which can be booked prior to arrival or at Guest Services.  Please give at least 24 hours notice to avoid disappointment

The best way to get to Turtle Beach Resort is by private shuttle bus transfer.  We operate our own transfers which offer door to door transfers with no annoying stops.

Most of the theme parks are off the M1 motorway, approximately 30-35 minutes drive north from the Resort.

Sea World is located in Main Beach about 15 minutes from the resort.

Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is located approximately 15-20 minutes South of the Resort

Turtle Beach Resort runs daily private shuttle bus transfers to all theme parks.

Check in is anytime from 2pm and check out is by 10am.

If you arrive earlier than 2pm you are more than welcome to leave your bags at reception and you will be issued with a day pass allowing you to use all the facilities and pools until your apartment is ready for you.

The beach is approximately 300-400 metres so walking distance.  Mermaid Beach Surf Club is located approximately 1 km to the north with Nobbys Surf Club located approximately 1 km to the south.  The beach directly opposite the Resort is council patrolled all year round.
